Jo Ann Gibbs

WBTC recognizes Jo Ann Gibbs as a WBTC Ambassador. She writes, “It was a thrill to read in the WBTC 2006 Fall issue about the opportunity for school teachers in Uganda to read the Bible to their students. I took the liberty to have the front and back pages of your report printed. I wrote letters to each of the small group leaders, and I included a letter to each family along with copies of the brochure. Later, under the leadership of the elders, we had public announcements made and put articles in the bulletin to give the congregation an opportunity to respond. When we raised $3,000, a generous donor matched that amount. That along with other donations totaled $7,384.00. Again this Fall, the elders sponsored another drive for Bibles for Uganda. Individuals contributed over $2,000.00, and a generous brother added $25,000.00 The Lord truly blessed our small efforts and answered our prayers. We are delighted to be a part of your wonderful work of supplying Bibles to a country that is open and eager to hear God’s Word.” Thank you Jo Ann for your leadership!
